Club de Futbol Monterrey announces that Uruguayan forward Diego Rossi has joined Rayados ahead of the Torneo Apertura 2026.

The 28-year-old boasts an outstanding international career and is a prolific, versatile and dynamic forward known for his mobility, creativity and ability to consistently threaten the opposition's goal.

Rossi joins the Club on a permanent transfer and has signed a three-year contract.

Diego began his career in the youth academy of Uruguay's Peñarol, where he made his professional debut in 2016 and won two Uruguayan League titles.

In 2018, he moved to Major League Soccer (MLS) to join LAFC, where he was part of the club's inaugural roster and became one of the first Designated Players in franchise history.

During his time with the Los Angeles club, Rossi won the 2020 MLS Golden Boot after finishing as the league's top scorer with 14 goals.

He moved to Europe in 2021 to join Fenerbahçe in Türkiye, where he competed in the Turkish Süper Lig, the UEFA Europa Conference League and the UEFA Europa League, and won the Turkish Cup in 2023.

Rossi returned to MLS in August 2023 with Columbus Crew, where he played a key role in the club's 2023 MLS Cup and 2024 Leagues Cup championship-winning campaigns.

Throughout his professional club career, the striker has scored 133 goals in 380 official matches.

Thanks to his outstanding performances, Diego has represented Uruguay at the Under-17, Under-18, Under-20 and Under-23 levels before earning call-ups to the senior national team.

He has represented Uruguay in international friendlies and FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.

The Uruguayan attacker arrives at Monterrey to contribute his international experience, attacking quality and goalscoring ability as the Club competes for success in Liga BBVA MX and the 2026 Leagues Cup.
