Rayados de Monterrey are back in the Concacaf Champions Cup, and this Wednesday the 4th, at 7:00 p.m., they will visit Club Xelajú of Guatemala in the 2026 edition of the international tournament.

The First Round, first-leg match will be played at Estadio Cementos Progreso, located in Guatemala City.

Rayados previously faced Xelajú in the Quarterfinals of the 2013 Concacaf Champions Cup.

On that occasion, Monterrey earned a 3-1 victory in the first leg, played at Estadio Mario Camposeco in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

The second leg ended in a 1-1 draw at the former Estadio Tecnológico. Ultimately, Rayados went on to claim their third Concacaf title after defeating Santos in the second leg of the Final, a match remembered for an impressive comeback.

Now, Monterrey will look to take the first step in the 2026 Champions Cup and carry an advantage into the second leg, which will be played next Wednesday the 11th at Estadio BBVA.

It is worth noting that Rayados qualified for the tournament after reaching the Final of the Apertura 2024 tournament.
