The Rayadas U-19 concluded their participation in the Apertura 2025 tournament, marking a historic campaign for the Club’s women’s youth academy.
The Rayadas U-19 program is part of a development process that began in the Clausura 2022 tournament with the creation of the U-17 Women’s category in the Liga BBVA MX Femenil. Now competing as Rayadas U-19, and six tournaments later, the team qualified for the Liguilla for the first time in its history.
In the Quarterfinals, the Monterrey side defeated Pumas 1–0 at El Barrial in a single-elimination match. In the Semifinals, Rayadas advanced after defeating Toluca 5–4 on penalties away from home, following a 1–1 draw in regulation.
In the First Leg of the Final, played at Estadio BBVA, Rayadas fell 2–1 to Pachuca. The first goal ever scored by Monterrey in a Final was netted by Sara Ortiz.
In the Second Leg, played this Saturday in Pachuca, Rayadas again fell by a 2–1 scoreline, finishing the series 4–2 on aggregate. Brenda Rodríguez scored the goal for the blue-and-white side.
In the 40th minute, Bianka Arredondo opened the scoring at Estadio Hidalgo with a right-footed shot after goalkeeper Ximena Díaz came off her line. In the second half, Rayadas maintained their intensity and, despite Pachuca’s second goal, Brenda Rodríguez pulled one back for Monterrey.
After a free kick in the 64th minute and a save by Ximena Díaz, Akane Lara followed up to score Pachuca’s second. Three minutes later, Alice Soto delivered a free kick that was cleared by the Pachuca defense, falling to Brenda Rodríguez, who struck a first-time shot from outside the box to score for Rayadas.
Thank you, Rayadas, for making us dream. We are all Monterrey!
