On Friday, Club de Futbol Monterrey officially presented Anthony Martial as the new player for Rayados of Monterrey, starting in the 2025 Apertura Tournament.

José Antonio Noriega, the club's sporting president, and Héctor Lara, Rayados' sporting director, presided over the press conference in which the French player assured that he is ready to make his debut with Monterrey.

Noriega spoke about what the arrival of a player of Martial's caliber means for the blue-and-white institution.

"Anthony brings us the quality we always look for in our team. In addition, he has the flexibility to play on the outside and on the inside, in both positions, and he is a player who scores goals. He has played more than 450 games in four European leagues, three of which are among the most important in the world," said the executive.

Héctor Lara, Rayados' sporting director, explained how the decision to sign Martial was made.

"He is a very important player with a lot of quality. It was a special request from Domènec Torrent. He knew him from the Premier League, and his level of understanding with players with European experience is important for our project," he said.

Anthony Martial revealed why he decided to come to Rayados of Monterrey.

"It's a great Mexican club. I know many players who have played here, and it was a very easy decision. I wanted something new, and I'm delighted to be here. I hope to do good things here," he said.

He assured that he is ready to make his debut with the blue and white team when the coach requires it.

"Physically, I feel very good. I've been training in Athens and I feel ready. I'm ready to play tomorrow (against América), if the coach decides so," he said.

The French striker acknowledged the talent of his new teammates and expressed his total commitment to the team.

"I'm here to help the team. There are some very good players. I'll do everything I can to keep the team at the top and win the championship," Anthony said.
