Club de Futbol Monterrey aims to create a positive impact and strengthen its connection with the communities it visits.
Rayados fans took part in a donation that will go toward the rebuilding of homes and communities affected by the wildfires that struck the state of California in January.
These types of initiatives are made possible thanks to the Club’s strategic alliance with SRS Distribution, a partner committed to creating positive change in local communities.
Through this partnership, initiatives are promoted that go beyond the pitch and reaffirm the shared values between the Club and its allies in the United States.
On Wednesday, June 25, prior to Matchday 3 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 between Rayados and Urawa Red Diamonds, Rayados and SRS Distribution held a symbolic presentation of a $25,000 check benefiting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.
The event was attended by Xavier Sánchez, Commercial Director of the Club; Iván Pérez, Regional Vice President of SRS Distribution; Jesús Ojeda, Regional Sales Manager of SRS; and representatives of the beneficiary foundation: Rianna Hill, Tara Gurlides, and Captain Matt Lowenstein from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Xavier Sánchez shared what this type of initiative means for the Club:
“For the Club, it’s an honor to be in the United States and have the opportunity to give back to the community, which always welcomes us with open arms, through actions with social impact,” he said.
During the event, the work of those who protect and rebuild the city after the wildfires was recognized.
The initiative reaffirms the commitment of Rayados and its partners to contribute to the well-being of the community, showing that sport can also be a platform to generate positive social impact.
Rianna Hill spoke about the mission of the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation:
“Our mission is to support firefighters with the tools they need to do their job. That’s been our goal since day one, and it’s become even more critical—especially as it did this past January when fires hit the city hard,” she said.
Through actions like this, Club de Futbol Monterrey reaffirms its commitment to continue connecting with the communities it visits, always striving to create a positive impact On the Field and In Life.
