Monterrey faces the world — and the Round of 16!
This Wednesday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m., Rayados will play their final match of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Group Stage against Urawa Red Diamonds at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, California.
The blue-and-white fans will return to the Rose Bowl after showing their support in the first two matches, contributing to a total attendance of 40,311 against Inter Milan and 57,393 against River Plate.
Monterrey fans' support will be crucial tonight in Los Angeles as the team looks to secure a win — and a spot in the Round of 16.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Rayados and Urawa. The Monterrey side is determined to move on to the next round and continue making history.
Urawa qualified for the Club World Cup after winning the 2022 AFC Champions League, defeating Al-Hilal 2-1 on aggregate.
The Japanese side lost 2-1 to Inter Milan in their tournament opener and fell 3-1 to River Plate in their second match.
Urawa have competed in the Club World Cup three times.
In 2007, they finished third after defeating Étoile du Sahel of Tunisia in a penalty shootout (4-2).
In 2017, they placed fifth after beating Wydad Casablanca of Morocco 3-2.
Their most recent appearance was in 2023, when they defeated Club León of Liga BBVA MX 1-0 in their first match, but later fell 4-2 to Al-Ahly of Egypt in the third-place match.
Now, Rayados will look to overcome the Japanese club and fight for a place in the Round of 16 of this global competition.
Come on, Rayados! Monterrey against the world!
