Rayadas defeated Cruz Azul Femenil 5-0 in Matchday 5 of the Torneo Clausura 2024 played this Thursday at Estadio BBVA.

Before kick-off, a minute of silence was held in memory of Maribel Mercado Gallegos, a Rayada fan who died on Sunday in Torreón.

The captains of both teams spoke out against violence in soccer and released white balloons from the field.

In addition, during the warm-up, the Rayadas players wore a T-shirt in memory of Maribel, and wore a black ribbon on their jerseys during the match.

Rayadas started the game with intensity and were able to reflect their dominance on the scoreboard from the first half.

Just six minutes in, Nicole Pérez had the first dangerous shot with a powerful shot from outside the box that goalkeeper Leticia Antas managed to deflect just wide, only for the ball to hit the post.

Cruz Azul also came close to opening the scoring after a defensive lapse, but Pamela Tajonar reacted brilliantly and sent a corner kick.
