Monterrey brings us together on the international stage!

Rayados will make their debut in the 2026 Leagues Cup this Wednesday, August 5, at 5:30 p.m. (CT), when they face Orlando City at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

This marks the seventh edition of the international tournament featuring clubs from Liga BBVA MX and Major League Soccer (MLS).

The tournament's first three editions featured a limited number of participating clubs. Beginning in 2023, however, all teams from both leagues were included, and the competition became an official CONCACAF tournament.

In the 2023 edition, Monterrey recorded the best performance by a Mexican club in the competition, advancing to the Semifinals.

That year, Rayados finished atop their group after defeating Real Salt Lake and Seattle Sounders (MLS). They then eliminated Portland Timbers (MLS) in the Round of 32, Tigres (Liga BBVA MX) in the Round of 16, and LAFC (MLS) in the Quarterfinals.

In the Semifinals, Monterrey faced Nashville SC, the same MLS club they will meet again in the third match of this year's 2026 edition.

This year's competition consists of two stages. The first is the League Phase, in which every club will play three matches against opponents from the opposite league. The top four teams from each league will advance to the next round.

The Knockout Stage consists of the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, followed by the Third Place Match and the Final.

As in previous editions, the 2026 Leagues Cup will award three qualification spots to the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
